Electronics Don’t Like Water

Avoid This Scenario

No matter how hard you try, chances are you’ll end up with some form of an electronic device in your kayak or canoe at one point or another. While I personally value my kayak more than any electronic items I own, the last thing I want to do is replace them. I’d rather spend my hard earned dollars on something I really need — like new paddling gear. The good news is that countless dry bags, boxes and other protective gear for you electronics are available for almost any electronic product that exists today.

Aquapac Mini Whanganui Case 108

ACK carries an extensive selection of those products. In fact, we have dedicated an entire category to just that. I could write a book but instead I’ll just focus on a few you may want to consider:

Seattle Sports Waterproof Kindle E-Reader Case

Aquapac Mini Whanganui Case 108 – I actually own one of these and have used it for a couple of years now. I can’t say enough good things about it. Aside from keeping my iPhone dry, you can still operate it as you would it if were out of the bag. It holds any device that is 5” long and 6” in total circumference.

Seattle Sports Waterproof Kindle E-Reader Case – Going on a long trip where you may have time to do a little reading? This simple and affordable, easy to use Kindle case will protect your reader from splash. There is also a deluxe version for those that have their Kindle in a protective case.

S3 Dry Box T2000 – Planning to take a point and shoot camera with you? Consider the S3 Dry Box T2000 to not only protect your camera from water but from damage as well.

Seattle Sports Audio Micro Dry Bag Junior

Seattle Sports Audio Micro Dry Bag Junior – Need something to protect a digital audio player and still be able to listen to it? This dry bag features a built-in watertight audio jack with a 10in. internal cord. What’s the point of taking a digital audio device on your paddling adventure if you can’t even use it anyway?

Again, these are just a few of the items we carry, I do recommend you check out our full line of dry bags, boxes and cases by clicking here. If you don’t see something that will accommodate the product you are trying to protect, let us know by commenting below.
